What kind of insight to we have?

We have God’s wisdom in our life. The amazing Spirit of God leads us. That is amazing. While we don’t always understand everything, we have a leg up on gaining insight into how God works than the average Joe.

It is interesting that the world we live in doesn’t see this.

“But you’ve seen and heard God’s wisdom because God, by his Spirit, has brought it all out into the open before you.” ~~ Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 2:9 The Message)

Would we have killed Jesus?

April 16, 2013 2 comments

We have lots of experts. And that is sometimes a good thing. The problem is that most experts don’t have a clue about what God’s eternal plan is. And we shouldn’t expect them to but we do exalt their opinion beyond what we should. These experts existed when Jesus was here on earth. The didn’t have a clue then either.

It would have been impossible to kill Jesus if we understood what God intends. But we have all missed God’s goal for our life. We would have killed him as well. No point blaming others. Jesus was the master of the life that God designed for us. And he was killed on a cross so that we could live that same way He did. Imagine that.

“If they had a clue about God’s eternal plan, they wouldn’t have killed the Master of the God-designed life on a cross.” ~~ Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 2:9 The Message)

Can we really out imagine God?

We think we know it all. We are very confident about what the future holds for us. Can we really out imagine God?

No, we can’t out imagine the creator of the universe. We can’t out imagine the inventor of love. We can’t out imagine the author of faithfulness.

God loves us and we can’t imagine what He has in store for us. So let’s just fasten our seat belts and enjoy the ride.

“That’s why we have this Scripture text: No one’s ever seen or heard anything like this, Never so much as imagined anything quite like it— What God has arranged for those who love him.” ~~ Apostle Paul   (1 Corinthians 2:9 The Message)

Are you an expert but clueless?

September 20, 2012 3 comments

We have so many experts today. Think of any subject and you can find thousands of them. The internet brings us to them any time we want to know “the answer” to any question. There are some things they are clueless about however.

God has a plan. He has had it from the beginning and it will never go away. His plan is Jesus.

God offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us. We don’t have to rely on the world’s guesses, opinions or internet searches. We didn’t learn this by reading books or going to school. We learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through Jesus, and we’re passing it on to you in the same firsthand, personal way.

“The experts of our day haven’t a clue about what this eternal plan is.” ~~ Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 2:8 The Message)

Can I out dream God?

September 10, 2012 Leave a comment

Can I out dream God? I can’t even come close. My mind can’t imagine what He can. He is God.

He is preparing some really good stuff for me. The things  I dream of and think about are nowhere near what He has in mind for me. That is amazing since I really like what I have thought up. His dreams for me are even better than that.

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him 1 Corinthians 2:9

Is this the latest, most faddish message?

August 25, 2012 1 comment

Is this the latest, most faddish message? No, God doesn’t deal in fads. His message of Good News to us is more like the ancient truths of all time.

His goal is to bring out the best in us. He figured out a way to do that a long time ago. His ways and word are true. Once He figured it out, that is all there is to it.

We need to look beyond the fads of the latest charismatic preachers. What did Jesus say? What is Jesus saying?

Jesus challenges us to listen to His message of good news. It is plain, it is simple, and it is true.

“It’s not the latest message, but more like the oldest—what God determined as the way to bring out his best in us, long before we ever arrived on the scene.” ~~Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 2:7 The Message)

Where will I find God’s wisdom?

We don’t find God’s wisdom in the popular philosophies that are floating around. This is not about the “success mentality” we hear so much about. This is not about our mission statement.

It is about what the Holy Spirit will reveal to us. It is about know what God wants us to do. It is about hearing His living word, right now. We won’t find it lying around on the surface.

May I know God, what He wants me to do and understand that is wisdom.

You don’t find God’s wisdom lying around on the surface. (1 Corinthians 2:7 The Message)

Am I wandering around in a fog? Is that a bad thing?

Wisdom. We all want it I think. What is the path? How do we get there?

God is GOD. He has, from before the beginning of time, had a plan in mind. He is executing against it, day by day, year by year, century by century, millennium by millennium. We seek to understand it all but some days we just can’t. It is a mystery. We are wondering around in a fog to some extent.

What we do know is that He has a plan in mind. We trust Him that it will all unfold, just as He has planed it out. His purpose will be achieved and we will see His glory. So be it!!

I want to understand God and have His wisdom. I need to seek out what is His purpose to get there.

God’s wisdom is something mysterious that goes deep into the interior of his purposes. (1 Corinthians 2:6 The Message)

Can I do a deep dive?

A lot of people are just flitting around the surface. I can be one of them. The Holy Spirit of God is not superficial. He is not content like we can be.Dove of the Holy Spirit (ca. 1660, alabaster, ...

Imagine knowing the depths of God? No seriously, imagine that!!

How can I know that God’s plan is for me? Well, I can do a deep dive into God. When I am filled with His Spirit, He brings what God has planned.

The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. ~~Paul (1 Corinthians 2:10)
