Not caring …

It is easier to deal with someone who clearly hates you than someone who just doesn’t care. We have an enemy who hates us and yet we go through most days ignoring that. We have a Father who loves like there is no tomorrow. Humans seem to have the unique capacity for apathy.

May I love like my Father.

Where does joy come from?

We want joy in our life. We want peace.

Do we long for God? Does our heart yearn to know what God wants us to do today?

Then we will know joy and peace.

Our mission is love

Jesus challenges us to love everyone, all the time.

Jesus challenges us to love God, with a passion that can’t be replicated.

What about that pat on the back?

It is so very true that the things that irritate us the most about others are the very things that challenge us. You would think we would get it but some days, even looking in the mirror, we miss it.

We all love for people to notice how good we are. It makes us feel better. The pat on the back is nice. It is, however, pride if we let getting kudos drive our behavior. Our motivation must be to please God not to get compliments from others. That is all there is to it.

You never know

We never know the influence our words may have when God is moving in someone’s life. His words don’t return empty. And, we may never know the final outcome.

May we speak the truth at all times.

What can go wrong?

What can go wrong? Our fear is that anything and everything will go wrong. That is an enemy whispering in our ear. It isn’t true.

We serve a loving savior, Jesus. The plans He has for us are good ones. May we focus on what He is doing and not listen to the enemy whispering in our ear.
