Should I be “self confident”?

The enemy is constantly trying to find ways to trip me up. God is strong and He wants me to be strong in Him. I  have the most amazing  weapons. He has shown me the way. The victory is His.

This is a challenge in a world where we are encouraged at every turn to “self confident”. It is considered a strength. In God’s world (Kingdom) it is not a strength. Our confidence should be in God. It is His strengths that are important.

 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Ephesians 6:10

Are we in a life and death fight?

We are at war with the Devil. We would like to think that is not true but it is. It is a fact. Our Master Jesus has given us everything we need. We have the best weapons possible. There is nothing shoddy about them at all. All we have to do is put them to use. It is a big mistake to think we don’t need them.

We do need GOD.

So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. Ephesians 6:10-12
