Will I throw up my hands and walk off the job?

Will I throw up my hands and walk off the job? No way. I have to be clear about that. I am in this for all eternity.

Sure, some times it gets real tough and it is tempting. Even Paul could admit that. Jesus never promised us it would always be easy. In fact, he did promise that we would see trouble and hard times. He also reminded us that he leads he way and he has overcome. The victory has been won and we can join him in that victory.

God is in a good mood. He is generous to us all the time not matter what.

Since God has so generously let us in on what he is doing, we’re not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times.” ~~Apostle Paul (2 Corinthians 4:1 The Message)

Our heavenly Father is in a good mood. He always is and never waivers from that feeling. No ups and downs with Him. Always excited to see us. Loves us even when we ignore Him.

Jesus challenges us to know that in our soul. Why?

Many of us have an image of fathers, maybe even our own, that doesn’t match that.

Jesus is God’s Son. He knows the Father. We can rely on what He says. He says that GOD is generous and gracious. Always in a good mood. So, it is true.

“Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.” ~~Jesus (Matthew 5 The Message)

Does God have enough?

This seems pretty timely. The economy goes up and down. That creates a lot of uncertainty. A lot of us trust in it our 401K. Better to trust in God who provides for us according to His richness. We should be rich in good deeds. We should be generous. We should share with those in need.

Then there is God’s economy. It is certain. It will never evaporate from in front of our eyes. God’s economy doesn’t need a bailout. He is in a good mood. He is generous. He has plenty to go around.

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. 1 Timothy 6:17-19

As if my life depended on it!!

Oh yes. There are times I felt my life depended on many things. This good word sets a wonderful standard for me. All I need to do is love others as if my life depends on it. AND, it does. I should be cheerful. I should be generous. If I an, He will get all the credit.

May I love in such a way that it makes up for practically anything. Wouldn’t that be an amazing thing. That is the way He does it. Here is the deal. Love more, worry less.

Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless—cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!” 1 Peter 4:8-11
