What is Jesus focused on?

September 27, 2012 6 comments

Jesus is perfectly aligned with God. He knows He can’t doing anything without God. Jesus is determined to follow God’s plan all the way and everyday for eternity. And that is a very long time.

How does he operate? He looks to see what God is doing and He does it. He has no desire to do his own thing. He doesn’t know what that means. He only knows that he must do what he sees his Father doing. That is all. That is it. That is the main thing about the main thing.

He challenges us to do the same. We must take on God’s own nature. We must do what we see God doing. That is all. That is it.

“I’m telling you this straight. The Son can’t independently do a thing, only what he sees the Father doing.” ~~Jesus (John 5:19 The Message)

Is God slow?

God is not slow. At least, not like some people think of slowness.

God, however, is patient. And that is a good thing for us. Think about it. He doesn’t want us to perish. He is the perfect Father we never had. He just wants to give us all time to change our minds about who is in charge. Hint?? God is in charge.

So let us be thankful that God is patient and not complain that He seems slow. It is to our advantage.
