Is my task to be open?

September 1, 2012 Leave a comment

Is my task to be open? Yes, I should focus what God is doing and make it clear to everyone I know. There is no room in God’s world to be secretive and quit about God. He challenges us shout out to everyone the good news of what He is doing.

God has been working behind the scenes all along. We didn’t know it for the longest time. Now we do. What should we do about that? Be silent? Don’t help others to see it?

No, we must speak up. We must give Jesus one huge Shout Out!!

My task is to bring out in the open and make plain what God, who created all this in the first place, has been doing in secret and behind the scenes all along.” ~Apostle Paul (Ephesians 3:10 The Message)

Is it all still a mystery? Will I hear God?

Is it all still a mystery? No, it is not at all.

Much about God’s world came seem mysterious. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way. Jesus got it out in the open. God’s word helps us understand what seemed vague before we came to God and got on the road to know Him every day.

Jesus is clear that he came to make known to us the mystery of how things work in God’s world (Kingdom). He does make everything crystal clear. Will we hear him? That is his challenge to us.

God is open. He wants us to be just like that.

“This mystery has been kept in the dark for a long time, but now it’s out in the open.” ~Apostle Paul (Colossians 1:26 The Message)

Am I wandering around in a fog? Is that a bad thing?

Wisdom. We all want it I think. What is the path? How do we get there?

God is GOD. He has, from before the beginning of time, had a plan in mind. He is executing against it, day by day, year by year, century by century, millennium by millennium. We seek to understand it all but some days we just can’t. It is a mystery. We are wondering around in a fog to some extent.

What we do know is that He has a plan in mind. We trust Him that it will all unfold, just as He has planed it out. His purpose will be achieved and we will see His glory. So be it!!

I want to understand God and have His wisdom. I need to seek out what is His purpose to get there.

God’s wisdom is something mysterious that goes deep into the interior of his purposes. (1 Corinthians 2:6 The Message)

The raw power of God

There is a time to think long and hard. That of course would be about what God has created. Just think about it. Think about it long and hard. It is amazing. The raw power of it all. Imagine, then think, about what it took to create all that we enjoy and take for granted everyday. Come on, think about it. NOW, think about it some more.

And, how mysterious is it that God could do all of this. We can’t imagine it. It is beyond us. And, that God, lives in side of us. He can do anything in His Country. He is the President of it all.

By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can’t see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. Romans 1

We're not keeping secrets; we're telling them

Jesus was into full disclosure and transparency. What He saw His Father doing is what He did. No cover ups. No secrets.

In fact, He came to reveal the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. His Message is all about revealing secrets. He calls on us to do the same.

“We’re not keeping secrets; we’re telling them. “ –Jesus (Luke 8)
